Bathroom Design
& Installation
in Watford
Full bathroom, en-suite and wet room installations — designed, plumbed, tiled and finished by one small team. One point of contact, one quality standard, one written guarantee.
What bathroom installations actually covers
What it is
A full bathroom installation from strip-out to final silicone: design and layout advice, all first-fix plumbing and pipework alterations, wall and floor tiling, waterproofing, sanitaryware and brassware installation, lighting connections and second-fix — all managed by us.
Who it's for
Homeowners tired of a dated bathroom, families needing an extra en-suite, landlords upgrading properties between tenancies, and clients converting a loft or extension. Whether it's a straight refit in the same footprint or a complete redesign, we handle both.
When you need it
When your existing bathroom is dated, leaking, poorly laid out or eating into your home's value. Bathrooms are the second-highest ROI improvement after kitchens — a well-fitted one is a real asset when you come to sell.
Why professional help matters
Most bathroom problems start with plumbing under the surface — bad falls on waste pipes, undersized supplies, poor waterproofing behind tiles. Because we're plumbers first and finishers second, the parts you don't see are done to a standard that lasts.
The cost of leaving it
The gap between a bathroom that lasts 20 years and one that starts failing at year three is almost entirely down to what happens before the tiles go on.
What can go wrong
- Poorly tanked wet zones behind tiles cause hidden leaks that rot joists and destroy ceilings below — often only discovered years later.
- Cheap or wrongly-specified waste falls back up into the shower tray or under the bath, creating slow drains and smells that never really go away.
- Sub-standard first-fix pipework (undersized, unclipped, poor jointing) is impossible to fix later without ripping tiles off.
- Multiple trades with no single point of accountability means every defect becomes 'the other trade's fault'.
Common mistakes we see
- Choosing the cheapest fitter and hoping for the best — bathroom rework is one of the most expensive things to redo.
- Buying sanitaryware and tiles yourself from the cheapest supplier without checking availability and lead times — projects grind to a halt waiting for backordered items.
- Skipping proper wetroom tanking or a bonded waterproof membrane to save £150 on materials.
- Not planning lighting and ventilation before first-fix — retrofitting them means chasing walls that have already been re-plastered.

A clear, repeatable system — the same on every job, whether you're a homeowner or a landlord with a portfolio.

What you get
One team, one guarantee
No juggling separate plumbers, tilers and electricians. One quote, one project manager, one warranty on the whole job.
Plumbing done properly
First-fix pipework sized, clipped and pressure-tested before anything gets covered up. What's behind the wall lasts as long as what's on it.
Wet zones tanked correctly
Full bonded waterproof membrane on floors and wet walls — not just a coat of paint-on tanking under the tiles.
Real design input
Practical suggestions on layout, storage, lighting and ventilation from someone who's fitted hundreds of bathrooms, not read three catalogues.
Trusted supplier network
We can source sanitaryware, brassware, tiles and lighting at trade prices — or fit customer-supplied items you've chosen yourself.
12-month workmanship guarantee
Full written guarantee on the whole installation, on top of any manufacturer warranties.
In detail
We handle full bathroom refits, en-suites, wet rooms, downstairs cloakrooms and cylinder-and-bathroom package upgrades. What we're really selling is a bathroom that still looks and performs like new in 15 years.
First-fix plumbing is everything
Almost every bathroom problem we're called back to fix (weeping showers, slow drains, whistling taps, low flow) traces back to first-fix work someone rushed. We take our time on this stage — supplies correctly sized to shower demand, waste runs at proper falls, isolators on every appliance, pressure tests before anything is covered up.
Waterproofing and tanking
Wet zones (shower cubicle floor and lower walls, floor around freestanding baths, wet room floors) get a full bonded waterproof tanking system before tiling — not just a bit of paint-on. This is what stops water tracking behind the tiles into joists and ceilings.
Wet rooms and level-access showers
Level-access wet rooms need proper fall on the whole floor towards a linear or point drain, correct board substrates, and a fully tanked floor and lower walls. We spec, fall, tank and tile them so they still work and look tight in 10 years — not just on handover day.
Sanitaryware, brassware and controls
We fit whatever spec you want — from good-value ranges (Roper Rhodes, Tavistock) up to premium (Hansgrohe, Vado, Villeroy & Boch, Duravit). We can also supply and install thermostatic mixer valves with pre-set anti-scald settings, and pair them with a Vaillant or Megaflo cylinder for genuine mains-pressure showering.
Coordinating other trades
Electrics, plastering and (where needed) building work are coordinated through us — you don't have to chase separate trades. Any Part P electrical work is completed and certified by a qualified electrician working alongside us.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a full bathroom installation take?
A straightforward refit in the same footprint is typically 2 weeks. A full replan with pipework alterations, wet room floors or new sanitaryware locations is usually 3–4 weeks. Your quote gives an exact timeline before we start.
Can you design the bathroom for me?
Yes. We'll take measurements, discuss how you use the space, suggest layouts, and can supply sanitaryware, tiles and brassware at trade prices — or fit your own selections.
Do you handle the electrical work?
Yes, coordinated through us. Any Part P notifiable electrical work is completed and certified by a qualified electrician working alongside our install.
Can you install a wet room?
Yes — we fit level-access wet rooms with fully tanked floors, linear or point drains, and correctly falling substrates. We'll flag if your subfloor makes a true wet room difficult before quoting.
Will I be without a bathroom during the works?
For a full refit, yes — usually 2–4 weeks. On multi-bathroom homes we can sequence works so you always have one bathroom in use.
Do you take a deposit?
No deposit is required on most bathrooms. Stage payments can be discussed for larger projects — always in writing.
Do you cover my area?
Yes — we cover Watford, Northwood, Rickmansworth, Pinner, Bushey, Hatch End, Stanmore, Middlesex and Greater London. If you're nearby but not listed, please call.
